Critic’s Corner

As an indie author competing for sales against well-established publishing houses, I don’t have the resources to compete with ad campaigns or critiques in the New York Times, USA Today, or other influential publications. I must rely entirely on reader reviews. Powerhouse sites such as Amazon and Goodreads have automated formulas determining not only how often a book will scroll across your screen as you shop, but how it merits recommendation to customers. The timing and number of reviews received bump up a book’s overall visibility.  Every review is valuable to us indie’s, -that’s why we give advance reading copies (ARC’s) in exchange for timely reviews.

The Critic’s Corner is an exclusive circle of readers  who receive ARC’s by Reese Johansen, (in this case, “Beauty for Ashes”) in appreciation for your agreement to post an honest, unbiased book review online at both Amazon and Goodreads. By signing up to receive your free ARC, you agree to specific terms and conditions which must be met as follows:

Finish reading book in its entirety prior to the release date (Valentine’s Day, 2017)

Post Amazon & Goodreads reviews within the hours of 8am~12noonPST on February 14, 2017

Confirm your reviews posting by sending an email with the review title

For confirmation purposes, you must either supply the name under which your reviews post on both Amazon and Goodreads, ~or~ send a confirmation email with the review title once posted

Failure to post both reviews within the specified parameters will result in a permanent ban from participating in the Critic’s Corner for future book releases from LifePath Press. Should you agree to sign up for the Critic’s Corner, you do so with the understanding that ARC’s are pre-published works in progress; -the final draft still undergoing proofreading for typo’s, grammatical errors, typesetting error’s, etc… The ARC may or may not include the final cover art, and will be imprinted a “proof” copy.
