I’ve always enjoyed writing though it never took center stage in my life until recently. Like most people, I wrote out of sheer necessity in the workplace, eventually developing a notorious reputation for my outlandish emails. Having a snarky & bizarre sense of humor, I’ve often been told I should write a book, though never felt I had worthy subject matter until driven to pen the story of my family. During that endeavor, I became addicted to the craft.

While my debut novel was based on actual events, a passion for fiction emerged. Taking it upon myself to explore writing more seriously, I was given an assignment for a short story which eventually materialized as an entire novel. That story spawned others, -a series, then a different storyline came to mind followed by another series. Whatever initially unlocked my creativity, the ideas haven’t stopped.

My fictional offerings span a variety of genres including Inspirational, Romantic Comedy, Family, and Christian. I create rich, complex characters who struggle to walk the fine line of being in the world, but not of it as they deal with issues we all face in an authentic, honest manner. Neither tawdry in nature, nor Pollyanna squeaky-clean, I try to portray life as it truly is, -complicated.

Privileged to call Puget Sound home with my husband of thirty years, I’ve been everything from a Sales Rep to Worship Leader and an eclectic mix in between. With faith and family my driving force, I’m mom to adult twins, -both married, and I look forward to adding the title ‘Grandma’ to my resume next March. In the mean time, my hobbies include devouring romcom as an admitted junkie whether via the written word or onscreen, gardening, scrapbooking, and enjoying sunsets with the love of my life.
