Wounded Hearts chronicles the people of the Austin Ranch, a diverse and famous horse ranch. To the locals, the ranch is as well known for the people who live and work there as it is for it’s winning race horses, world-class breeding facility, and therapy center. The philanthropic owner likes to give folks who’ve fallen upon hard times a second chance in life, and the motley crew he’s collected over the years have become family. Collision Course, follows the lives of close childhood friends as they settle into adulthood. Things changed drastically and tragically during their college years though their friendship remained strong. Now, they’re finding their way, carving out their unique niche’s in a new reality. Reese considers her home, Northern California, one of the most beautiful and diverse locations on the planet. She feels there’s a distinct bias between the east and west coasts in the genre’s she enjoys reading. For that reason, both the above series are set in her stomping grounds.

As a fun twist, many of Reese’s stories take place during the timespan in which the San Francisco Giants claim three World Series Championships; -her response to constant encounters with the Yankee’s, Met’s, and Red Sox on her e-reader.
